The Core Riding Areas

The Logan area features two distinct and expansive complexes offering world-class riding:

THE LOGAN CANYON SNOWMOBILE COMPLEX

The Logan Canyon Complex boasts over 180 miles of well-groomed trails and is one of Utah's most highly rated destinations for sledders.

Full-service amenities are available at:

Beaver Creek Lodge: This essential central hub for the entire 180 miles of the Logan Canyon Complex is arguably the most convenient starting point in Cache County. Several surrounding public parking lots are great if you’re bringing your sled. The Lodge is located directly on the trail system and you can rent snowmobiles and full winter gear here. Step straight out of your room and onto your sled without any hassle. The onsite chef prepares delicious home-cooked meals for overnight guests. This location offers instant access to numerous bowls of deep powder and provides a vital connection between the Utah and Idaho trail systems.

Highlighted Trails

  • Amazon Trail: This well-groomed route is perfect for beginners and intermediate riders and offers easy access and a beautiful ride through heavily wooded mountain terrain.

  • Garden City Trail: For a more challenging experience, tackle this moderately difficult twisty and narrow trail that climbs from Garden City to the Sinks area. It offers access to popular play spots and inspiring views of the Bear Lake Valley.

  • The Peter Sinks Trail This local favorite is known for its uncrowded playful riding. The Peter Sinks Trail features wide-open fields, rolling hills and challenging climbs, making it a hub for play and hill-climbing areas. The Peter Sinks area is known for recording some of the coldest temperatures in the nation on occasion!

  • Tony Grove Trail: A popular scenic destination, this trail offers excellent mountain riding as it climbs up a twisty canyon to the beautiful Tony Grove Lake, where a fun play area awaits. (Be aware the Mt. Naomi Wilderness Area to the northwest of the lake prohibits motorized travel.)

  • Temple Canyon Trail: Moderately difficult and a local favorite. This trail is groomed weekly but receives relatively little traffic, ensuring deep powder pockets, especially near Temple Flat. It's a great choice for intermediate riders looking for solitude and potential wildlife viewing.

  • Franklin Basin Trail: A wide, easy and frequently groomed trail that serves as a main interconnection to the Idaho trail system. Be aware of possible frequent drifting and changing snow conditions.

THE HARDWARE RANCH SNOWMOBILE COMPLEX

Experience a unique winter adventure where wildlife viewing meets thrilling snowmobile action. The Hardware Ranch Complex is famous for providing safe distant views of majestic wintering elk herds right from the trails. The complex offers a range of groomed trails, from the mellow to the challenging. It also provides connectivity to the Logan Canyon Snowmobile Complex on groomed trails to the north, and to backcountry riding in the Monte Cristo Snowmobile Complex to the east.

  • Curtis Creek/Ant Flat Loop: This 63-mile loop offers flat groomed riding, ideal for long-distance cruising. Enjoy spectacular valley views and explore open meadows with just a few switchbacks to keep the ride engaging.
