Foodie Trek

The Foodie Trek is designed to be flexible. Choose a few stops that catch your interest or plan a full-day adventure to taste them all. Each location offers something unique, whether it’s sampling ice cream at Utah State University, sipping locally roasted coffee or browsing farm stands for seasonal produce. Some businesses offer tours or tastings, while others invite you to simply stop in, shop and enjoy. Utah State University has been perfecting the art of making dairy products since the agricultural college was founded in 1888. Hence the mascot’s name “the Aggies.” Choose from nearly 30 flavors of ice cream, plus hand-crafted cheeses. Locals argue over which is their favorite, but Aggie Bull Tracks with chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cups and caramel is always at the top.

Randy Wirth and Sally Sears started the Ibis in 1976. The coffee is roasted here in Logan, but they also manage all the components from Fair Trade farms in Central and South America, to make sure it’s certified organic and songbird safe.
